Crispy chicken nuggets and zaatar yoghurt sauce



Hi dear readers,


What's better than chicken nuggets? Homemade ones!

Nuggets:


Serves 4 persons


Ingredients:

- 4 large chicken breasts;

- 130 g (5 cups) corn flakes plain cereal (Kellog’s);

- 1 tbsp garlic powder;

- 1 tbsp paprika powder;

- Salt & pepper to your taste;

- 2 eggs, beaten;

- 1 tsp olive oil (I used a spray);

- Flakey salt.


 

Procedure:

  1. Cut your chicken breasts in cubes (large or small whichever you prefer).

  2. Process the corn flakes in a food processor and add spices until it becomes a a fine(ish) powder.

  3. Crack the 2 eggs in a bowl and mix, add some salt.

  4. Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture, then in the cereal and put on a plate.

  5. Preheat your air fryer to 175° C (347F) (or your oven) and grease it with some olive oil.

  6. Carefully place the chicken nuggets in the air fryer and cook for 12 minutes.


 

Yoghurt sauce:


Ingredients:

- 1 plain yogurt (either greek, regular or nonfat);

- 1/2 tsp lemon zest;

- 1/2 lemon juice (or less if you don’t like it too citrusy);

- 1 garlic clove, mashed with a garlic press;

- 2 tsp zataar;

- 1 tsp sumac;

- Salt and pepper;

- olive oil for decoration.

  1. Mix all ingredients together and serve with your nuggets!
