Salmon tartar with an asian twist

A fresh and delicious recipe, perfect for a starter

Hello dear readers,

Did you know you could make delicious salmon tartar at home ? This recipe is very easy to make, requires just a few ingredients and has so much taste.

Recipe for 2 persons (as a main) or 4 persons (small starters)

Ingredients:

- 260 g (0,6 lb) fresh salmon (sushi grade), cubed. You can also use smoked salmon heart (it will be saltier);

- 1 avocado, cubed.

Dressing:

- 1 green onion, separate white part from the green one, chopped;

- 1 tsp sesame oil;

- 1 tbsp soy sauce (I use light);

- 1 tsp fish sauce

- Half lemon juice;

- Flakey salt;

- Espelette pepper;

- Black sesame seeds, for decoration.

Procedure:

  1. Add cubed salmon in a bowl, the white part of the chopped green onion and the ingredients for your dressing, mix well. BUT do not add the cubed avocado yet otherwise the mixture will become too mushy.

  2. Refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes.

  3. Right before serving, add the cubed avocado to the mixture and adjust seasoning.

  4. Serve with toasted bread and butter.

Enjoy! Audrey
